Dr. Laura Williamson received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University Of California School Of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 1987. She was awarded the University of California Regents Scholarship. Prior to entering veterinary school, Dr. Williamson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1983 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

After receiving her Veterinary degree from UC Davis, Dr. Williamson completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan in 1988. Dr. Williamson then returned to California to practice in San Diego. She was President of the San Diego Veterinary Medical Association in 1997 and served on their Executive Board for 7 years. Dr. Williamson’s professional interests are General Practice, Soft Tissue Surgery and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Williamson grew up in Bass Lake, California. She wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of 4 and her family always had animals of all types and sizes. Dr. Williamson now shares her home with her husband Mark and their daughter Michelle. Mark is a 1981 graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Agricultural Management. He owns and manages his own sign business. Their daughter Michelle is Forestry major at Reedly College. In her spare time, Dr. Williamson enjoys snow skiing, spending time with family and photography. Dr. Williamson has 3 dogs: a black Labrador Retriever named Cole, a Border Collie named Waylon and a 3 legged silver Toy Poodle name Chloe. She also has 2 exceptional cats named Tiger and Lily.
