Dr. Edwards grew up in California's central valley two hours north of Fresno, surrounded by her family's menagerie of pets in an agricultural community. She was involved in 4-H from a young age, and her interest in animals developed even further while attending UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) for her undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology.
Her love of travel and British roots took her overseas to Scotland, where she pursued her veterinary dream and graduated from the University of Glasgow, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. While in vet school Dr. Edwards participated in a variety of small and large animal externships in California and Britain, as well as volunteering at a hospital for working animals in Egypt.
Since returning to California in 2013, Dr. Edwards has worked in general and emergency practice settings throughout the state, and joined the team at Abby in 2018. In addition to general practice, her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, exotic animals, and dermatology.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Edwards enjoys cooking for family and friends, gardening, globetrotting, and exploring our national parks. She lives in Fresno with her husband Marco and their two pets: a red-nosed pitbull, Persimmon, and an orange kitty named Biscuit. Dr. Edwards loves being a part of the Fresno community, helping pets and their families, and looks forward to developing strong roots in the years to come.
