HARTZ ANNOUNCES DR. RICHARD HOLM 2002 VETERINARIAN OF THE YEAR
Secaucus, NJ -March 2003 - The Hartz Mountain Corporation announced today the winners of the 2002 "Veterinarian of the Year" Contest. Dr. Heidi McMorrow, D.V.M. of Cape Cod Animal Hospital in West Barnstable, Massachusetts and Dr. Richard Holm, D.V.M. of Abby Pet Hospital in Fresno, California are the Hartz Veterinarian of the Year Grand Prize Winners.
For the past 77 years Hartz has celebrated the Human-Animal Bond, and Veterinarians are instrumental in fostering this very important relationship between people and their pets. "The veterinary health care professional supports the Human-Animal Bond by providing both valuable information and professional services to pet owners." stated Bob Devine, President and CEO of Hartz. The Hartz Mountain Corporation created the "Veterinarian of the Year" Contest in 2001 in conjunction with Woman's Day Magazine. Pet owners were asked to nominate vets who have excelled in the medical field as well as in their passion for nurturing animals. The scores of heart-felt essays from pet owners across America illustrate the continuous dedication of this group of professionals.
