Dr. Holm graduated from Colorado State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. His interests, aside from general internal medicine, are in orthopedic surgery.
His continuing education includes a surgical internship at the California Animal Hospital in West Los
Angeles; numerous educational seminars sponsored by the Animal Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Internal Medicine Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and
through the Central Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Holm has published short lecture topics with the local Southern California Veterinary Association.
Dr. Holm is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association,
the Central Veterinary Medical Association, and he was the Hartz Mountain
Corporation's 2002 Veterinarian of the Year.
From an early age, he had a strong interest in physiology, medicine, and animals. Veterinary medicine was a way to combine all of these interests and reading James Harriet novels helped sway his final decision toward Veterinary Medicine.
His family includes his wife Marion and their two children. Their pets include, Mick a 14-year-old diabetic cat, who receives insulin injections twice daily and Sammy is a skittish calico cat. A 4-year old dog named Key Locker, who was named by their 6-year old son at that time. Sherman is their 16-year old California Desert Tortoise and Shelly, who is Sherman's wife, is also a California Desert Tortoise.
