Alterbark
Alterbarking surgery does not produce total voice loss. After surgery, the dog can still produce a raspy noise, but this sound is much quieter than barking.
Alterbarking may be preformed through the mouth or by an incision made over the voice box. Tissue from the vocal cords is removed in order to disrupt normal function and prevent barking. Sometimes the dog's ability to bark may gradually return as scar tissue forms in the voice box.
In the event your dog's bark returns we will redo the surgery at no charge for up to one year after the first surgery. After one year you will be charged a reduced fee for redo surgeries through the mouth.
We do offer Pain Management for post surgical pain.
